Death Comforts You

54″x48″, Acrylic on Canvas, November 2007

One of the few “dark” paintings I’ve done in this cartoon lizard series, this fellow has played a losing game of Russian Roulette — playing this game with yourself, you always lose — but Death, who always wins, smiles and comforts him through his loss. As always the voyeuristic crowd watches on gleefully and full of schadenfreude.
